earth godess photoshoot

earth godess photoshoot

yesterday I was so blessed to be able to do a photoshoot with my little sister billie for the earth godess collection - this was so important and special to me because this collection has such a deep rooted connection to my heart and to myself so to be able to share these pieces with someone I love so deeply wearing them means everything.

my little sister has always inspired me, from a young age she taught herself how to do make-up and would do the most AMAZING makeup looks. this was at a time when I was so scared to express my creativity and lean into that part of myself, I would look at my little sister and be deeply inspired and proud of what she was doing and achieving. at a young age she did the make-up for London fashion week, started her own business, a model and would be unapologetically herself. she is now a tattoo artist! even though she is the younger sister there’s a part of me that always looked up to her and felt like she’s the older one. we been on so many creative endeavours together, painting murals, doing body painting for a film and spend our Christmas’ painting Christmas windows so this just feels like another creative adventure we got to spend together.

as the earth godess collection is all about embracing your Mother Earth energy I just knew this photoshoot HAD to take place deep in the forest and thats exactly what we did. at first we went to one of my favourite places, Cannock chase.

But as it is SO big (and I am not good with direction ) I did not know where would be best to find the most beautiful trees. I had a vision of billie hugging and connecting to some of the most big and beautiful trees possible but I just has NO idea where to find them here. so we went for a walk… then suddenly it came to me.

me in 2020 with the most beautiful tree!

during lockdown in 2020, when I’d go on my walks. I found this little area around by my house at the time, that had the most BEAUTIFUL huge trees that made me feel at home and connected to nature. then I spent most of the time after that and summer walking in those woods with my friend, my partner at the time and on my own. It became my safe special place. I would feel so happy and so at one with all of trees and the surrounding area. this was a time of my life where became deepened into my spiritual practice and I would spend days off my phone, into my creativity and it was one of the happiest times at my life. I had no worries, no anxieties and no care. It was perfect. so yesterday I said to my sister “I know the perfect place for this photoshoot” and as I haven’t been there in a few years, I messaged my friend and asked what it was called and she promptly replied and we were on our way.

walking through those forests again brought me back so much joy, so much love and so many beautiful memories that were written in the trees. when I entered back into that forest, it’s like time didn’t exist and I was just at one with everything. I knew this was the place that this jewellery had to be captured.

I really had such a wonderful day with my sister. our relationship is one of my favourites ever - we are like chalk and cheese. we aren’t afraid to tell each other what’s going right and what’s going wrong. we’ve always worked so well together because we’re so honest and open. we laughed together, we argued, bill ended up with blistered feet because of my shoes, we sang together and it was just a day full of sisterly love and I had the best time (and I think we also got some BEAUTIFUL shots of the jewellery and of course my sister)

I asked bill for her experience from yesterday:

what was your favourite part of the day?

working with my sister! we just had so much fun together. working in nature and this place was so different, freeing and made me feel so naturally pretty.

what does this collection mean to you?

coming home to myself.

what is your favourite piece of jewellery in this collection?

the midi rings! I love them, I think they’re so cute and unique and an extra accessory to your collection that not everyone has!

how did you feel when you wore this jewellery?

empowered!

what’s it like working with Tilly?

it’s easy, fun and it was an adventure.

I am so grateful for my sister and so grateful I got to experience this with her. this collection, as billie said, feels like I am also coming home to myself and there is no one else that feels like home more than my sister. I am so grateful for her taking her time out to help me with this, she was amazing in every way and I just love working closely with her! she’s so brilliant.

thank you once again to my beautiful sister for helping me with this photoshoot - don’t forget on the 26th September at 7pm all of these pieces will be available on my website.

all my love,

Tilly xxx
